This casual, cozy design is a fun twist on the classic Aran sweater. Worked in a rustic, breed-specific yarn, it feels both traditional and contemporary. You’ll love the relaxed styling and comfy sophistication.
A note about fit: I recommend 2”/2.5cm or more of positive ease. This sweater will fit best if it is loose. There is a wide gap between sizes. You may experiment with adjusting sizing by adjusting gauge, i.e. using a smaller or larger needle size to produce more or fewer sts per inch and thus change the size of the sweater a bit. Feel free to email me at the address below for help with this.

Gauge
Gauge for this sweater varies greatly over the different stitches and directions. For matching purposes, work a swatch of reverse stockinette, in the round, using Main Fabric needles. Gauge is taken after blocking. 21 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm.
Each section of the Bubbles in the Round cable (18 sts) should equal 3”/7.5cm worked in the round on Main Fabric needles taken after blocking.
Needles
Ribbing: Size US 4/3.5mm 32”/80cm (or longer) circular needle.
Main Fabric: size US 7/4.5mm 32”/80cm (or longer) circular needle.
Small Circumference: Your preferred needles for small circumference knitting in both sizes.
Note Use the needle size needed to achieve gauge; going down 3 US sizes/1-1.5mm for ribbing.
